Welcome to the Dayspring United Methodist Church Chorale. This group of Christian singers and musicians has been worshipping and serving the Lord and the Dayspring congregation for over twenty years. In our beginning, we were less than a dozen in number, coming forward from the congregation to sing occasional special music. We have grown and evolved with our faith community to become a ninety voice choir singing a wide variety of church music. In addition to making music, the Chorale is an active and prayerful support group to our members and their loved ones. Our ministry of music is directed and accompanied on the organ by L. Michael Kelley, with Mary Sievert providing the piano accompaniment. The Dayspring Chorale has been blessed with two opportunities to tour and sing in some of the grandest European cathedrals. Our most recent tour in the summer of 2003, took us to France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. The high point of which, was a concert during the Salzburg Festival. In 1999, we toured Salzburg, Venice, Florence, Pisa, and Rome, culminating in the introduction of Craig Courtney's Sanctus during Mass at St. Peter's in the Vatican. Our first tour in 1994 took us to Munich, Vienna, Salzburg and Regensburg, Germany (Tempe's Sister City). We are now planning a tour of the British Isles in the summer of 2007.
